अवैध तरीके से भारत में दाखिल हो रहे थे इस देश के पूर्व उपराष्ट्रपति, गिरफ्तार

भारतीय एजेंसियों ने अवैध रूप से भारत में दाखिल होने के आरोप में मालदीव के पूर्व उपराष्ट्रपति अहमद अदीब (Former Vice President of Maldives Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor) को गिरफ्तार किया है. अहमद अदीब (Former Vice President of Maldives Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor) को तूतीकोरिन बंदरगाह से उस वक्त गिरफ्तार किया गया, जब वह भारत में दाखिल होने की कोशिश कर रहे थे. मालदीव के पूर्व उपराष्ट्रपति अहमद अदीब (Former Vice President of Maldives Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor) गैरकानूनी तरीके से भारतीय तट पर पहुंचे थे.

मालदीव के पूर्व उपराष्ट्रपति अहमद अदीब (Former Vice President of Maldives Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor) को आईबी अधिकारियों ने हिरासत में लिया है और इसके बारे में विदेश मंत्रालय को सूचित किया जा चुका है. इस बीच, अदीब की गिरफ्तारी पर विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता रवीश कुमार ने कहा कि हम रिपोर्ट की सत्यता का पता लगाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं. हम उनकी सरकार से संपर्क करेंगे और पता लगाएंगे कि क्या ये रिपोर्ट सच हैं?

अहमद अदीब (Former Vice President of Maldives Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor) "विर्गो 9" नामक पोत से थूथुकुडी पहुंचे था. इसमें 10 लोग सवार थे. अदीब को भ्रष्टाचार के विभिन्न आरोपों के तहत गिरफ्तार किया गया था और मालदीव में जेल की सजा दी गई थी.एजेंसियों ने यह नहीं बताया कि अभी अदीब को कहा रखा गया है.
