भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम ने मेलबर्न क्रिकेट ग्राउंड पर खेले गए दूसरे टेस्ट मैच में ऑस्ट्रेलिया को 8 विकेट से हराकर चार मैचों की सीरीज में 1-1 की बराबरी कर ली है. मैच के चौथे दिन ऑस्ट्रेलिया की दूसरी पारी 200 रनों पर समेटने के बाद भारत को जीत के लिए 70 रनों का लक्ष्य मिला था, जिसे उसने 2 विकेट गंवाकर 15.5 ओवरों में हासिल कर लिया. मेलबर्न में भारत ने अपने क्रिकेट इतिहास में इस मैच को मिलाकर कुल 14 टेस्ट मैच खेले हैं. आपको ये जानकार हैरानी होगी कि टीम इंडिया को इस मैदान पर जीतने के लिए काफी मुश्किलें आई है. इन 14 मैच में भारत ने सिर्फ 4 बार जीत का स्वाद चखा है जबकि 8 टेस्ट में हार का सामना करना पड़ा और 2 टेस्ट ड्रॉ रहे हैं. अजिंक्य रहाणे की कप्तानी में विदेशी जमीन पर पहली जीत है. वहीं इस ऐतिहासिक जीत के बाद कई क्रिकेट दिग्गजों ने टीम इंडिया समेत अजिंक्य रहाणे की तारीफ की है.
